LAMY Fountain Pen 2000 - Makralon

The design of the LAMY 2000 is one of the most successful LAMY fountain pens. The LAMY 2000 was designed by Gerd A.Müller, born in 1932, who already designed this beautiful, modern fountain pen in 1966. And rightly so that this copy is the most successful fountain pen, what a beauty! Because it has everything you look for in a fountain pen. A light but sturdy polycarbonate with fiberglass body, a 14 carat gold nib and platinum finishing.

The fountain pen is brushed and finished by hand. A converter or ink cartridge is not required. The fountain pen has an integrated converter with a large ink capacity. Only use the LAMY ink, as this does not cause any problems with the materials.

Note: To ensure quality performance, LAMY tests their pens as the last step in production. If you see any blue ink remaining, you can be assured that this is normal.

Lamy's roots go back to 1930 when C. Josef LAMY founded his own company in Heidelberg called Orthos Fountain Pen Factory. At the beginning of the Second World War, more than 200,000 ORTHOS and ARTUS brand fountain pens are produced annually, and his knowledge and expertise about this writing instrument is growing. However, it is the LAMY 27 fountain pen that made a breakthrough on the market in 1939. With this, LAMY definitively establishes its name. LAMY moved to Heidelberg in 1952, the place where they still make the most beautiful, innovative, and unique pens to this day.

LAMY is known for the high standard they demand from their products and that is reflected in the company. The central warehouse is equipped with the most innovative systems and LAMY has complete control over its production. As a result, the products wear "Made in Germany" with pride.

Over the years, founder C. Josef LAMY has closely followed developments. In 1986, the LAMY legend dies, knowing that he has left behind a beautiful and stable company. In 1996 LAMY opens their LAMY Gallery, a glass hall, blazing with light, a source of inspiration with the development center next to it, where all innovative inspirations come together. In 2018, a three-person management team will be formed to help LAMY achieve even greater success in the field of stationery.
