Founded by entrepreneur Richard Esterbrook in Camden, New Jersey, the company quickly grew into one of the largest and most beloved pen makers in the world. At its peak, Esterbrook was even the largest pen manufacturer in the United States with no less than 600 employees.

Though times have changed, Esterbrook is still alive and kicking. Today, the company is based in Mineola, New York, some 120 miles north of its original home.
