Meet the beautiful Esterbrook pens

Esterbrook is an American pen brand that has been around since 1858. Founded by entrepreneur Richard Esterbrook in Camden, New Jersey, the company quickly grew into one of the largest and most beloved pen makers in the world. At its peak, Esterbrook was even the largest pen manufacturer in the United States with no less than 600 employees.

Esterbrook pens in history

Many famous Americans have made history with Esterbrook fountain pens. For example, US presidents Abraham Lincoln and Lyndon B. Johnson signed legislation with their Esterbrook pens. But not only politicians are fans of Esterbrook, also artists appreciate the pens. Famous Disney artist Carl Barks brought Donald Duck to life with an Esterbrook No 356. And Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz used the No 914 for all his comics. Meanwhile, millions of students have grown up learning to write with Esterbrook fountain pens, thanks in part to visionaries and artists who used Esterbrook.

Esterbrook today

Though times have changed, Esterbrook is still alive and kicking. Today, the company is based in Mineola, New York, some 120 miles north of its original home. Esterbrook continues to produce beautiful fountain pens and other writing instruments, staying true to their rich history and tradition. A commodity is the solidity and the materials they use. They also distinguish themselves by their wide range and various nibs, some designed by well-known artists. Esterbrook also releases a Limited Edition every year, which every Esterbrook Fan looks forward to.
