One of Van Gogh's most cherished and iconic paintings is the "Café Terrace at Night". The painting shows the terrace of the café on the Place du Forum in Arles, France, and this is the first painting in which Van Gogh used starry skies; a year later he painted starry skies in 'Starry Night Over the Rhône' and 'The Starry Night'.
